Guangli got his PhD in ME from Johns Hopkins University in 2012. After graduation, Guangli worked as a Sr. Research Scientist for Corning Incorporated in Reliability and Mechanical Science department. Guangli’s main responsibilities included the new product development, e.g., Gorilla Glasses, as well as customer engagement, e.g, Apple & Samsung. In 2015, Guangli took on the Program Manager position, leading a group of 8 scientists to develop mechanics knowledge of Corning materials to bridge the gaps of customer needs and existing technologies. At Guangli’s career at Corning, he has 24 pending patent applications and one granted US patent. In 2016, Guangli moved on to his current position, Sr. Engineer at BD, a leading medical technology company. Currently, he is leading multiple projects as R&D core team member to mitigate risks and cost reduction of the current hypodermic products.
